Enchanted Gardens

Friday morning we visited Enchanted Gardens with a photo group I lead, to capture some memorable photos while enjoying this beautiful weather we've been having.  

Enchanted Gardens is in the midst of rapid suburban growth, but you wouldn't know it by it's tranquil paths and gardens.  Plenty of wonderful things to look at.  From all sorts of flowers to nick-knacks to cool props perfect for a photo session.

It was the perfect way to kick off Spring!

It's a Southern thang!

The Rodeo is in town this month and what better way to get into the spirit than having a Hoe Down at my son's Elementary school.

Living in Amarillo for almost 3 1/2 years (before coming here), we met and saw quite a lot of cowboys and attended the Rodeo every year. Quite a 180 from growing up and living in Southern California for 30 some years.

But you know what?  I don't mind that my boys are being raised with Southern manners and charm.  I quite like it!!!  A lot!!! Charm and manners weren't something you experienced much in Cali.  So if my boys say y'all and heehaw, I'm quite alright with it.

These photos were taken the morning before my son headed to school for his first Kindergarten Hoe Down.  His cute little cowboy outfit was courtesy our neighbor down the street.
